Convention

Dear TCB Members, Friends and Supporters,

It’s time to register for the 84^th annual conference and convention of the Tennessee Council of the Blind.  The dates are September 19^th through 21^st. The Memphis Chapter is working hard to provide an interesting and informative program for us.

 We will be at Pickwick Landing State Park, 116 State Park Road, Counce, TN 38326. The lodge is located at 120 Playground Loop, Counce, TN 38326.  Room rate for TCB Members has been reduced to $155.00 per night, at the time of check-in, two discounts will be applied.  The first is being provided by an anonymous donor, and the other is provided by Tennessee Council of the Blind.  After both discounts are applied the member cost will be $103.70 per night.  You can reserve your room online at: Reserve here  or by calling  (731) 689-3135 ext. 0.  Group code is 34453. 

Registration is $75 per person and includes Saturday box lunch and banquet.  Box lunch with your choice of white or wheat bread Includes lettuce, tomato, pickle, bag of chip and a cookie.  The entrée choices are Ham and cheese, Turkey and cheese, Veggie: cucumber spread.  All lunches also include a soft drink or bottle of water.   

Banquet choices are Southern fried catfish with hushpuppies, white beans and broccoli salad. Baked chicken with green beans, Au Gratin potatoes.  Pork Chop with green beans and Au Gratin potatoes.  All meals come with a tossed green salad, bread, tea and water. Desserts will be alternated at the table and are Apple cobbler and chocolate cake with chocolate icing.   

Registration for the TCB convention is available online at Register Here.  You can pay online using your credit or debit card. If you need any assistance in registering, you may contact Robert Spangler at (319) 550 – 1748.  Plans are also being made to stream the annual auction once again this year so everyone can take part in the fun.  Our auction will be Saturday evening September 20^th.  Be sure to register before August 1^st if you plan to attend the banquet, meals after August 1^st are limited and are on a first come first serve basis.
